Touring models up to 2022 usually do not have a physical gear position sensor on the right side of the gearbox, even when a gear is shown on the dash it is only a virtual calculation (not a real sensor). Starting in 2023, most Touring models began to include a physical gear position sensor. If your model has this sensor, an additional part must be added for the kit to function properly, because the factory sensor protrudes from the transmission side cover and would interfere with the reverse gear. To solve this, the sensor must be relocated to the reverse gear housing and driven by an extended shaft, requiring an additional cover and adapter.

To activate, the bike must be running and in neutral. To engage reverse, simply pinch the clutch and release it immediately, then press and hold the start button — the bike will then smoothly move backwards. This safety design ensures the system only activates under the correct conditions, protecting both the rider and the motorcycle. To exit reverse: release the start button and hold the front brake. Once stopped, you can directly shift into forward gear and ride normally.

No, it doesn’t. The reverse kit is not driven by the starter motor, but an additional high-power brushless motor. The built-in reversing module is connected to the diagnostic interface via a data cable to obtain and analyze vehicle data in real time to prevent misoperation and make it more convenient to use.

No. The kit is 100% plug-and-play and non-invasive, meaning it won’t affect your factory warranty. If you switch bikes in the future, you can easily remove the kit and reinstall it on your new motorcycle.

It might look tight at first glance, but there's actually no issue at all checking or filling your oil. Both fill points stay fully accessible with the kit installed. We made sure of that during the design process.

Yes — a modified exhaust can affect the installation if it blocks the area where the reverse kit needs to be mounted.

If that’s your case, you may choose to remove the modified exhaust and reinstall the original one to ensure proper fitment.

To maintain airflow and rider comfort, we offer an optional Leg Cooling Fan that’s specially adapted to work with the reverse system. While the reverse kit works perfectly without it, we recommend installing the adapted fan for better heat management.

    Installed on my 2024 CVO Street Glide with the 121 cu.in. motor. Absolutely a great piece of machinery goes in and out of reverse like butter. Well built 3 year warranty can't beat it. I did install this my self by watching videos not to bad of a job. I did have to message Eagleking two or three times they answered me almost immediately. The only complaint I have is the how to videos. The unit I was installing was not the unit in the video I guess I got the updated version which is good Eagleking needs to make a new video that the installer can see what the mechanic in the video is doing most of the time the mechanic is in the way of seeing whats going on for example when he is hooking up the wiring harness the guys head is in the way. Also no torque values when putting drive gear no main transmission shaft.Don't get me wrong I figured it all out but it would be nice if the kit came with written instructions maybe a picture or two. OK back to the review I have had other mechanical reverse kits this Eagleking is far superior than any other I have tried. That said I know Eagleking reverse kit is a lot of money for most guys but I am hear to tell you its worth every dollar. Ride safe forward and backwards.

    I have this installed on my 2022 ultra limited and absolutely love this. The action going into reverse is so smooth and easy. I was able to install this without a lot of difficulty although the unit that was sent to me was not the unit in the video. I it would be a great help if they would send a QR code for a more in depth install video of the unit that is sent out. Overall I love this product and would recommend it to anyone thinking about wanting/ needing a reverse on their big cruiser.
